Please REVIEW RETURN POLICY below before creating a return


Bomgaars stands behind all of its products, and as such we strive to deliver the best possible shopping experience for our customers. We guarantee our merchandise to be free of manufacturing defects and will gladly accept any defective item for a refund or exchange.

All returns are subject to Bomgaars’ approval. Bomgaars reserves the right to refuse or limit the number of returns permitted within a given period and/or without valid receipts. Bomgaars may require a valid picture ID for any return. These remedies are our exclusive remedies. All other remedies are hereby excluded. All warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and/or fitness for a particular purpose are expressly excluded. The exclusions provided herein are subject to and may be limited by applicable law that vary from state to state.


Customers can return merchandise online (sending it in via RMA process) or bring it to your local Bomgaars Store.


Bomgaars is happy to exchange or refund new, unused merchandise within 30 days of original purchase. Some restrictions apply. Please see items that are not eligible for return under any circumstances in our ‘Non-Returnable Items’ section. When returning an item to Bomgaars for a refund or exchange, please have all accessories, paperwork and original packaging for the item. For opened, non-defective items, Bomgaars reserves the right to refuse or assess a restocking fee deducted from a refund.

IN-STORE RETURNS WITH RECEIPT: Items returned with an accompanying sales receipt will be refunded at the original purchase price, to the original payment method**, plus applicable sales taxes. Check purchases will be refunded via a corporate check. No returns for check purchases will be allowed if you have outstanding checks with Bomgaars.

**$100 cash refund limit on cash or debit card purchases. Cash and debit card purchase over $100 will be issued a refund in the form of a corporate check. Corporate checks are mailed from Bomgaars Corporate Office within 7-10 business days after your return has been processed.

Returns without Receipt: Items returned without an accompanying sales receipt will be refunded at the lowest sale price of the item, and refunds will be given in the form of a corporate check. If an item cannot be identified by SKU, UPC, or factory part number, the item will not be eligible for a return. A valid photo ID will be required for all returns made without a receipt.


Items purchased on must be in clean, resalable condition to be eligible for return. Please keep all tags and original packaging for items, even if opened. We require trying on all clothing prior to removing tags and/or washing the item. Footwear is required to be tried on only indoors while walking on carpeted areas only to avoid scuffing. Socks and undergarments are not eligible for return once the package has been opened.

Returns can be made one of two ways: Return/Exchange at your local Bomgaars Store or Online via Bomgaars Return Dept.

Return/Exchange at Local Bomgaars Store

Items may be returned/exchanged at any of our Bomgaars stores for an item of equal or greater value, where the customer will be responsible for paying the difference on items of greater value. The refund amount will be less shipping costs. 

Refunds from Bomgaars eCom purchases will be refunded one of the following ways per managers discretion: A refund up to $100 will be given in the form of cash; debt card; bank card or Bomgaars Gift Card.

eCom refunds over $100 will be given in the form of Bank Card; Debit Card or Bomgaars Gift Card.

ONLINE via Bomgaars Return Dept.

To RETURN an item to - you MUST acquire an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number and authorization.

  • After you receive your RMA NUMBER, Print the return slip, Write the RMA number on the outside of the shipping box, place a printed copy of the return slip in the box with the item. Take the box to your nearest USPS, UPS or FedEx location and return to the address below.

NOTE: If the item is defective or damaged due to shipping, please contact CUSTOMER SERVICE > to request a free return shipping label.

To return an order, please access your order history on our website to acquire an RMA (return merchandise authorization). There you are able to specify which items you wish to return and why. We will approve or reject requests and may include comments or offer alternatives to a return. Please do not return the items until we sent the authorization notice. Please note that for the customer’s protection the customer is responsible for shipping costs of returned items, except in the cases of incorrect item shipment, manufacturer defect, or damaged goods. We recommend using a trackable shipping service to ensure that your return is received by our returns department. For expensive and/or fragile items, it is recommended to purchase shipping insurance.

ONLINE REFUNDS - Via Bomgaars Return Dept.

  • orders - if return is shipped back to Bomgaars Refund Dept. only eligible items may be returned within 30 days of the shipping date for a full refund, less shipping costs, so long as the item has not been used. Please see items that are not eligible for return under any circumstances in our ‘Non-Returnable Items’ section. Refunds will be credited to the original form of payment (credit or paypal), if any other payment method was used, your refund wll be show up as "online store credit" to your account. *Note - Online Store Credit cannot be redeemed in store. A customer can then purchase a Bomgaars Gift Card with their credit if they choose. The Store Credit process may take up to 72 hours to set up - customers will be notified via email once complete.

Due to the expense of shipping overweight/oversized items, these items are subject to additional terms. Be sure to carefully inspect all overweight / oversized (freight) items upon delivery before signing bill of lading as freight handling charges cannot be refunded. If an item arrives damaged or defective, customer must note damage on shipping receipt and refuse delivery to avoid return freight charges. If customer fails to do so, customer will be responsible for return freight charges. At this time, we are unable to directly exchange items on If you are looking to exchange an item purchased online, please choose one of the following options:

  • Return the item to and then place a new order for the exchange
  • Visit any of our Bomgaars locations to return/exchange the item for a similar item of equal or greater value (customer pays difference on items of greater value)


Due to the nature of the following items, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges of the following:

  • Ammunition, firearms, gunpowder and primers
  • Vaccines / Temperature controlled products
  • Live Animals/Insects
  • Items cut to length at customer’s request
  • Open undergarments and socks
  • Gas cans/tanks that have held flammable liquids
  • Propane
  • Containers that have held any type of fluid (ex: sprayer tank)
  • Perishables (ex: food/candy)
  • Gift Cards
  • Gasoline-Engine Powered Items
  • Clearance Merchandise

Items with gasoline-powered engines that are defective may be returned or exchanged within 60 days of original date of purchase to your nearest Bomgaars location and must be accompanied by the original sales receipt. All accompanying manuals and accessories must also be returned with the item. All fluids (gas and oil) must be drained from the engine before being returned to us. After 60 days, the defective item is no longer eligible for return or exchange with Bomgaars and will need to be returned to the manufacturer, under the manufacturer’s warranty procedure.

If a customer does not live in a geographic area where a Bomgaars location is accessible to return or exchange a product due to a defect within 60 days, please contact CUSTOMER SERVICE >

These items include, but are not limited to: generators, lawn mowers, tillers, chain saws, trimmers, blowers, and log splitters.
