About the Role: Manager in Training
The Manager in Training (MIT) program is a stepping stone to becoming a Store Manager at Bomgaars. As a MIT, you'll work alongside experienced leaders, learning all aspects of store operations - including staffing, customer experience, inventory, and financial performance. This role is designed for high-potential team members who are ready to grow into leadership while embracing relocation opportunities as part of their career journey.

What a Day in the Life Looks Like:

  • Partner with store leadership to oversee daily operations, merchandising, and sales.
  • Learn to coach, motivate, and develop team members.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and resolve issues with professionalism.
  • Participate in inventory management, safety compliance, and merchandising execution.
  • Gain hands-on experience with payroll, scheduling, HR processes, and reporting systems.

What We're Looking For:

  • At least 6-12 months of dependable retail experience with strong attendance and reliability.
  • Willingness and ability to relocate for training and future store leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated initiative, ownership, and follow-through on tasks and responsibilities.
  • A positive, team-first attitude and ability to lead by example.
  • Strong communication skills with customers, peers, and supervisors.
  • You embody the Bomgaars CARES principles - Communication, Accountability, Responsiveness, Empathy, and Solution.

Bomgaars is looking to build our company with dedicated hardworking professionals who wish to grow in their careers. Join our team as a Manager Trainee.

Manager Trainees work under the guidance of an on-site Store Manager. The training program is designed to provide a strong knowledge of all aspects of the retail environment. This position may require relocation to one of our training stores. Relocation from the training store is a requirement after the training is successfully completed.
