The deep taproot of tall fescue helps this grass stay green when others have gone dormant. K31 is and old Dual purpose variety that has a wider blade and a lighter green color than the newer varieties in All Pro Brand Tall Fescue. K31 should be used in pastures or other low maintenance areas where lawn appearances are not important. In lawn conditions a higher seeding rate (10 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. ) will help this blend maintain its finer leaves.
