Bomgaars is seeking a motivated, responsible individual with Cashier experience to fill a Department Lead position. The individual will oversee Cashiers and the register area while providing excellent customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Retail knowledge/experience
  • Product knowledge 
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Administrative skills to process paperwork and record keeping
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong attention to detail/organizational skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50+ lbs on a regular basis and stand for long periods of time
  • Committed to excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Able to travel and help at other Bomgaars locations
  • Must be available to work flexible schedules - days, evenings, weekends (shift premium paid for working on weekends)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet and welcome customers
  • Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately (cash, correct change, credit/debit cards, and checks)
  • Scan and bag items for customers
  • Promote store loyalty programs/special promotions/coupon redemption
  • Process customer returns and exchnges according to store policy
  • Balance cash drawers at the end of the shift
  • Maintain a clean, organized checkout area
  • Assist customers with product selection and load outs
  • Handling phone calls

Wage is $16.00 per hour or based on experience
