In preparation of the new store opening, Bomgaars is seeking motivated, responsible individuals to help in store set up, freight processing, and outside merchandising of the nursery department. Position can change from seasonal (90-days) to regular, full-time.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Retail experience
  • Product knowledge 
  • Willing to work outside for extended time periods
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. on a regular basis and stand for long periods of time
  • Committed to excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules - days, evenings, weekends (shift premium paid for working weekends)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • New store set-up
  • Merchandising indoors and outdoors
  • Freight handling/Forklift operation
  • Maintain the nursery area (varying weather conditions)
  • Basic gardening tasks (watering, weeding, fertilizing, and repotting as needed)
  • Stocking with new plants/rotating inventory/checking for damaged or unhealthy plants
  • Handling phone calls

Wage is $14.00 per hour
