About the Role: Accounts Payable Specialist
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring Bomgaars meets its financial commitments on time. You'll process vendor invoices, review store and Distribution Center (DC) receiving's, and communicate with stores, buyers, and vendors to resolve discrepancies before payments are due. In this role, accuracy and attention to detail are essential, as your work keeps vendor relationships strong and operations running smoothly.
What a Day in the Life Looks Like:
- Audit and review stores and DC receiving's to match invoices prior to scheduling payments.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices.
- Communicate with stores, DCs, buyers, and vendors to resolve discrepancies by email, phone, or in person.
- Provide backup support to the receptionist during breaks, lunches, or vacation periods, including answering the front desk phone.
- Assist with maintaining vendor records and files.
- Support month-end closing processes as needed.

What You'll Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is helpful.
- Prior experience in accounts payable or retail preferred, but not required.
- Retail experience is a plus, as it provides valuable context for understanding our processes.
