DeGROOT Platinum Performers Potato Russet Norkotah, DGSVPCNK

Potatoes are one of the easiest root crops to grow! They grow in average soil, and a small area can provide an excellent yield of this tasty vegetable. ‘Russet Norkotah’ is a long, smooth, shallow-eyed potato. It is adaptable in many regions and generally has a 7 to 9 month storage life. Its versatility and flavor make this potato ideal for baking. Plant in early spring in a sunny location. Water weekly through warm summer weather but do not overwater. Till the soil to a depth of 10–12". Place one seed potato into the tilled dirt 4–6" deep. Then, cover with soil. Cover with additional soil as the plants develop. Always be certain the surface tubers are covered with soil. Water potatoes thoroughly. When planting and in the fall, mix garden compost into the soil.
