DeGROOT Platinum Performers Potato Yukon Gold, DGPTYK06

Potatoes are one of the easiest root crops to grow! They grow in average soil and a small area can provide a nice yield of this tasty vegetable. ‘Yukon Gold’ is a delicious yellow potato with great flavor and moist flesh. It also stores well and is resistant to viruses. Plant in early spring in a sunny location. Water weekly through warm summer weather but do not over water. Till the soil to a depth of 10–12". Place one seed potato into the tilled dirt 4–6" deep. Then, cover with soil. Cover with additional soil as the plants develop. Always be certain the surface tubers are covered with soil. Water potatoes thoroughly. When planting and in the fall, mix garden compost into the soil.
