Headquarters
Our organization is headquartered with our management staff in Sioux City, Iowa, located at 1805 Zenith Dr. Sioux City, IA 51103-5208. Roger A. Bomgaars, President. Jane Bomgaars, Roger's wife, is Vice President. Dave Meyer is our General Operations Manager. The office employs approximately 55 employees.

Retail Outlets
Bomgaars was started by Mr. W.H. Bomgaars in Sioux City, Iowa in January 1944, as an automotive jobber. In 1952, they incorporated, and started selling retail to the public. After a major fire in 1966 and outgrowing their next location, they built a new 65,000 square foot building in 1985 at 333 Douglas Street, Sioux City, Iowa. The current location of the office and warehouse is 1805 Zenith Dr., Sioux City, Iowa.

Warehousing
Our full scale 155,000 square foot warehouse operation moved to its current location (1805 Zenith Dr. in Sioux City) in August 2005. All merchandise is shipped into the central warehouse, and loads are sent out to each branch store on a weekly basis. The warehouse employs approximately 28 employees. A second warehouse (storing our feed, seed and bulk items) was opened in September of 1999, employing approximately 4 employees. A third warehouse storing clothing and paper products was opened in June '00, employing approximately 5 employees. A forth warehouse storing seasonal products was opened in November '01 employing approximately 8 employees. In 2003, we acquired the old Sioux Tools Building on 29th and Floyd Blvd, and the 3 smaller warehouses were closed.

Information Systems
Bomgaars data processing equipment and software are among the most advanced designed. To use this equipment effectively, we require highly skilled personnel. The information system activities are located in Sioux City, Iowa. Bomgaars has made the transition from a period in which Data Processing was a service function to a period in which the information system is recognized as a major corporate asset. We have recently installed a new information/cash register system in all of our locations.

Outlook
The company program is to continue to increase its number of stores, improve its present stores, expand its operational organization, and thus keep creating new positions and opportunities for those who are ambitious enough to make a career of retailing.
